- CLE> Windows 95 DOES NOT support RPI (or WinRPI) modems whatever.
-
- This is not so. There's now a Rockwell driver specifically developed for
- Win'95. It's:
-
- 95RPI115.ZIP [05]
- +Win'95 drivers for RPI, RPI+,
- +for V34-RPIn and V32bis capable
- +Rockwell-based modems. Covers:
- +PCMCIA, VoiceView, Pocket and
- +PnP. Full Cellular support too.

- CLE> RPI/WinRPI stinks so bad, I wouldn't even recommend them to an
- CLE> ENEMY...........
-
- :-) The early versions of RPI were a bit flakey, coupled with users on
- a tight budget often running a 286 too and thus unable to operate with
- Windows then that _was_ a recipe for disaster. Having to keep to the
- same supplied terminal software for DOS was a real pain. But with higher
- CPU speeds, RPI+, loads more RAM available and Windows versions that do
- 32bit processing then WinRPI+ is an alternative.
-
- It also has the advantage of offering higher page or frame sizes too
-
- Rockwell has just produced a V34 combi-hardware/RPI+ modem. And most
- "built for Windows" terminal applications will work with it in RPI+ mode
